In his representation of insurance company clients, Mr. Bolender
provides counsel on coverage matters, prepares coverage opinions,
and drafts reservation of rights letters. He is also frequently
retained by insurers to serve as monitoring counsel in business
litigation where an insurer’s legal defense is made under
reservation of rights. Mr. Bolender’s experience
includes assisting underwriters in drafting and revising insurance
products to ensure that the language used will be interpreted
by courts in a fashion consistent with underwriting intent.
Mr. Bolender has litigated cases in Hawaii, California, Washington
State, Delaware, Florida, South Carolina, and Wyoming. His

Prior to founding Bolender & Associates, Mr. Bolender practiced
with Selman Breitman, LLP, Monroe & Shapiro, and Ropers,
Majeski, Kohn & Bently. He received his J.D. from Southwestern
University School of Law, and his bachelor’s degree from
California State University, Northridge.
