April 14, 2011 - Bolender & Associates obtains ruling on motion for summary judgment in lawsuit by interior decorator against hardwood flooring retailer.
The interior decorator, who had been sued by a homeowner for defects, etc. in the remodeling of her condominium, cross complained against the retailer
for indemnity. Representing the retailer, Bolender & Associates filed a motion for summary judgment, arguing that the interior decorator could not
prevail on its cross-complainant because the retailer could not be found liable in tort to the homeowner. The Honorable Jacqueline Connor of the
Los Angeles Superior Court agreed, granting the motion in favor of the retailer. Carolyn Spiegel vs. Uptown Interiors, et al, Case No. SC 104952.
